Since we are featuring a coral and pink blend this month, our cross-stitch sample draws inspiration from the colour peach! The sample is one element of a larger design Garden Stars by Ink Circles.
If you’ve ever taken a look at a peach (fruit), you’ll notice that it does not have one solid colour. It’s more of a blend of warm oranges, soft pinks and even cherry reds. As you can see from our cross-stitch we have combined two Colour Complements colours which highlight different shades of peach.
This colour scheme is perfect for spring-inspired projects or even if you want to create something for Easter or a baby shower gift!
Here Are The Details Behind This Peach Inspired Ccolour Scheme
The following colours that were used for this particular design include:
The pattern was stitched on a 2.5-inch square of cream 36-count linen. I would suggest stitching this on white linen versus the cream as this would showcase Colour 72 perfectly. Only one strand of floss was used to stitch this beautiful design. The value differentiation gives the sample more pop, even with just one strand of floss! If you decide to double up your strands, expect a more solid result.
This is a great example of an analogous colour scheme as it showcases our feature Colour 72 this month along with Colour 36 (orange/reds).
There you have it! I think the project strikes a perfect balance between bold and soft, bright and muted. What do you think?
