tree-motifs-hand-dyed-floss

I am excited to share some tree motifs. They are tiny and all are stitched with Colour #18.  Colour 18 is a fabulous blend of various values of medium to dark GREENS.  It is by far the most popular colour I sell, so much so I end up dyeing it multiple times every year.  A stitcher can never have enough GREENS

When I sent some threads to the ladies several months ago, I mentioned I liked the idea of trees since the holiday season is fast approaching.  I never know what they might come up with so it is always a lovely surprise.

These tree motifs are small elements from a much larger design called The Sanctuary.  It is a drawn thread pattern stitched on 32 count linen and measures about 2 ½ by 3 ½ inches.  Bits of yellow and red were added to give the impression of lemons and apples/berries. One or two strands of floss were used for all the trees. The trunks were stitched with Colour #57 which is a blend of rich browns. You will find the pattern for these motifs HERE. Have fun stitching some trees. Fast, easy and a great beginner project.
