How often to you send out your newsletters?

Colour Complements newsletters are monthly.  On occasion, I send out a second mid-month mini newsletter IF I have something new to share.  I do recommend you sign up as recipients are the “first” to know of any new products in stock, sales or custom dyed kits. 

How frequently do you update your blog?

I post three times weekly on my blog.  Expect to find articles displaying various embroidery/needlework techniques and projects.  My world is colourful!  Hopefully you will find inspiration for your next project.

Are you on social media?

I am on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.  You may see me posting at times in some of the Facebook groups as well. 

What are your hours?

I maintain regular office hours Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (PST).  I am also available intermittently on weekends.  I make every attempt to respond to emails promptly usually within hours of receipt and at a maximum within the day.   

What payment methods do you accept?

My shop prices are listed in US funds.  I accept Visa, Mastercard and PayPal.  Canadian orders are subject to sales tax, which are calculated during checkout.  The buyer is responsible for any additional customs duties that may be incurred. 

Will my threads be exactly the same colour as the product photo?

I make every attempt to achieve colour accuracy in my photographs but be advised that all monitors display colours differently.  While I strive for consistency in my dye lots, all my threads are hand-dyed. No two skeins are identical.

Who dyes your threads?

I dye all the unique colour combinations in my shop.   

Are Colour Complements threads colourfast?

All my threads are rinsed multiple times and heat set to release leftover dye from the dyeing process.  Sadly, despite this, I cannot guarantee they are colourfast.  

What if I am working on a white background?

I recommend my products be rinsed prior to use to ensure they are colourfast ONLY IF you plan to stitch on a white or very light background.  Otherwise this is not necessary.  ** I do not rinse my threads for personal use in any of my projects.

How long will it take to get my order?

Orders within Canada generally take 1 week to 10 days and possibly less
Orders to the United States take anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks
International orders are dependent on where you reside but generally arrive within 2-3 weeks

Is it safe to provide my credit card number on this website?

YES.  I do not retain any of your credit card information as this is managed by my payment provider.  Any other personal information you provide will not be shared.

Do you sell “in person”?

No, I am an online business.
