spring-cross-stitch

I’m sharing a small spring cross-stitch today. When I introduce my seasonal collections of new colours, I like to share stitched samples so you can “see” how the colours appear when combined and stitched together in a beautiful pattern.

While Colour #23 is not a new colour, my dye formula has changed slightly so I am re-introducing it.

If you’ve been following me for some time you will likely recognize this colour as I first dyed it as part of my spring collection about four years ago. Colour #23 is a combination of blue, yellow and coral pink. It has always reminded me of the colours one sees in the Easter baskets so very appropriate for spring-themed projects.

More About This Spring Cross-Stitch

The cross-stitch sample above is a small section of the pattern by 2×2 Stitch Art. Ilana is a Ukrainian designer offering a variety of modern cross-stitch sampler patterns.

All are available via PDF so you can purchase and print up instantly.

This spring cross-stitch is stitched on 28-count cream linen. It measures approximately 3.25-inches square. We used 2 strands of floss in Colour #23 and outlined the circle in a blue by DMC, Colour 334.

You might like to include this lovely springtime Easter blend in your next project. More samples are coming featuring my new spring collection so check back soon!
