turquoise

Are you a fan of turquoise?  I must admit, I really was not all that fond of it until I started canvas work.  I used it in my crazy quilting but found it didn’t always suit my chosen palette.  Now, I use it A LOT!  I love combining it with lime green or for that matter a very bold bright green OR? Do you have a favourite combination?

Colour 73 in my spring collection is a lovely subtle blend of turquoise and aqua.  It blends or contrasts beautifully with some of the previous samples I’ve shared this month BUT works well on its own as demonstrated here.

This cross stitch measures approximately 2 ½ inches on 32 count slightly off white linen.  It is stitched with 2 strands of cotton floss in colour 73.  The motif is one element of the larger Paradigm Lost design by Long Dog Samplers.

So, what do you think?  Are you a fan of turquoise?
