I always like to show different colour options for the same pattern and Forget Me Nots is the perfect small design to demonstrate this.
The flower is from a pattern by Lauren Sauer and was featured in Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornaments 2013 issue.
It is small measuring about 2 ½ inches. The background is a natural linen.
The sample on the top right shows colour #3 which is a lovely blend of coral pink, orange and green shown in the photo on the left. The bottom right sample also shows colour #3 in the outer border BUT Colour #37 has been added to the center. Colour #37 is a blend of golden yellow/orange.
Which one do you like?
My personal preference is the one on the bottom right simply because it shows more contrast between the colours.
What could you do with these cross stitch samples?
Well, they could be framed and used as a wall hanging. They could be sewn together to form a scissor fob. They could be sewn together for an ornament.
