Today, we’re delving into the artistry of a pink palette combination, drawing inspiration from the Tangled Rose pattern from Blue Dogwood Designs. When it comes to needlework, the beauty lies in the details and although the original project boasts an impressive 8×8 size, we’ve chosen to spotlight two smaller yet equally captivating areas of this design which measure a little less than 2 ¼ inches on 18-count mono canvas.
Creating this pattern with a pink palette combination of colours
For these two samples, we used three different colours to create a multi-dimensional-like effect
We created depth and texture for each panel with the addition of Kreinik braid. These stitched samples offer a closer look at the intricate details offered in the design.
We then introduced a border of Smyrna cross variation to the lower sample using Colour #68. And because a touch of metallic can add that extra flair to any project, we selected Rainbow Gallery Entice in colour #E260.
These samples showcase just how much depth can be created using a combination of pinks in a palette. Whether you’re a seasoned needlework enthusiast or just starting, I encourage you to use these colours and stitch techniques in your projects. Why not give things a bit of added dimension with the addition of metallic accents as well?
This project is proof that a carefully curated palette can elevate projects with each stitch. The design, with its nuanced pink palette, serves as a testament to the endless possibilities that unfold when creativity meets craftsmanship, fun and colours.
Happy stitching!
