Purple is a stunning colour to use on any needlework project, but especially when creating beautiful cross-stitch patterns. This post is an excellent example of that. This lovely floral pattern is part of the ‘Garden Stars’ pattern.
The entire pattern is designed by Ink Circles. The design has lots of circular motifs, incorporating shapes reminiscent of lotus flowers that you see in garden ponds. The tiny intricate details can be seen in various other motifs in this pattern.
It was only fitting to use this purple colour combination. It has different shaded variations of purple offering a bold accent throughout. Because the shades of purple/violet are so multi-dimensional, it draws the eyes in and allows it to appreciate each detail of the design.
Here is how Marie achieved this beautiful Purple Cross-Stitch Pattern
Marie used Colour #183 to stitch this cross-stitch pattern. She used two strands to achieve lots of depth for each detail. Using two strands allowed for the design to “pop.”
Colour #183 was an easy choice for a pattern like this one, but its versatility can be used in various other projects. It’s one of the most popular shades in our collection!
The design is 4-inches in total and was stitched on 32-count linen. Thank you to Marie for stitching this lovely design!
Colour #183 is an excellent choice for any of you stitching Halloween or Fall themed projects! Make sure you visit the blog again next week as I’ll be sharing a stitch video of this colour combination!
