stitched-gift-tags

Last week I posted about card inserts so today I’m going to talk about stitched gift tags.

Personally, I love the idea of a stitched gift tag.  I don’t give cards all that much anymore but I do add gift tags to all my gifts.  So, how about some stitched gift tags!

This particular sample measures around 2 ½ inches.  Once again it is one element of a pattern designed by Tracy Horner of Ink Circles.  Make sure you visit her site if you enjoy cross stitch.  She has a beautiful selection of patterns.

Dominique has chosen a pale yellow linen.  Several of the ladies frequent the thrift stores so this linen was picked up on one of these shopping trips.  This sample is stitched with Colour #120 which is a brilliant blend of greens, blues and purple.  She has used 2 strands of floss.

I think the diamond shape of this design is lovely.  Lots of opportunity to add to it or stitch several below and above forming a row.

Since many of us have been spending more time than usual at home….

It’s a great time to stitch some gift tags.

Thank you D.
