Are you a fan of lime green?
It is one of my favourite colours to use in my stitching. I had not used it much until a couple of years ago when I stitched my Autumn Kaleidoscope. The pattern was designed in an autumn palette of colours but I chose to stitch it in a summer colour scheme of blues, turquoise, lime greens with hints of purple. You can see my version in this post.
After I completed the project I started experimenting with colours using lime. I came up with Colour #53 shown above. It is a blend of teal blue and lime green – very bold!
The sample above measures about 2 ½ inches on a hand dyed blue linen background. Dominique chose 2 strands of floss in Colour #53.
This is a very small element of a larger pattern called Rosetta by Ink Circles. You will find the pattern HERE.
Expect to see more LIME combinations in the future as I continue to experiment. Let’s see what I come up with!
