CRAZY QUILTING Block #10 of my CRAZY QUILTING Black Butterflies project.  This is my ongoing project for 2018.  If you remember my focus fabric is the multi colour butterfly fabric hence the name.

I started out the center seam treatment with a base of nylon lace trim accented with square brads and French knots in Kreinik braid and perle cotton.  I also added a couple of French knots using some Very Velvet Petite.  You can see a wee bit of my rayon ric rac at the bottom tacked in placed with Kreinik braid.  The hearts in the left corner were traced using Sharon Boggon’s templates and back stitched with silk perle.  These are further accented with flower beads and detached chain stitches.  I filled in some of the open space by adding some small floral applique flower clusters.

I must admit, I am not a big fan of nylon lace but I think it works well here.

Block #10 finale coming soon.  If you need some new threads for your crazy quilting, check out the SHOP.
