crazy-quilting-colour-complements BLOCK #9 complete of my CRAZY QUILTING Black Butterfly project.

I have discussed parts of this block in previous posts so you can see the overall here. Each block contains at least one piece of my focus black butterfly fabric and many times more than one piece as you can see here.

A little about button clusters. I first started seeing and reading about button clusters on Sharon Boggon’s Pintangle blog.  She worked on a quilt where each block contained a cluster.  They are a fabulous way to use up button stashes – we all have them!  So, I decided to attempt to add a button cluster to almost all of my blocks for this project. I thought you might like to see this one up close.

CRAZY QUILTING I used three buttons from my stash varying in size and colour.  The floral addition is actually not a button but an earring I picked up at the thrift store.  To complete the cluster I added a silver charm leaf.  This area was a bit plain so added some olive green coloured seed beads.
So, Block #9 complete.  Now onto #10.

As this is the Remembrance Day weekend, I will not be posting on Monday but returning again on Wednesday November 14th.  Thank you to our many veteran’s both past and present.
