CRAZY QUILTING

CRAZY QUILTING

I special example of CRAZY QUILTING today. Beth recently found my shop while searching for perle cotton inspiration. She picked up some of my hand dyed threads to use in a very special future project.

She tells me that every two years a group of local women each receive a crazy quilt block to embellish. Once complete the blocks are sewn together to make a quilt which is raffled off to raise money for local women who are battling breast cancer. The photo above is the 2017 project.

Here is a close-up of Beth’s block.

Beth is currently busy working on her block for the 2019 quilt. She has chosen bright colours of threads as the background is black.

You can read more about this wonderful project at Tempting Tables and just in case you needs some threads check out the shop. Thank you Beth!
