needlepoint

I know many of you picked up Circus last year—my very first original mitten design—so I’m excited to offer another sample stitched with one of our Embroidery Sampler thread kits. As always, I like to show off stitched samples to give you a clearer idea of what you can create using these kits. I’m a firm believer that needlepoint is both the art of creativity and technique. That’s why these samplers are designed to inspire you to do just that – get creative, explore, stitch, and experiment with different colour combinations.

Our second stitched sample this month once again features Embroidery Sampler #3. For this sample we have a spring version of Circus.

The Pastel Focus Colours in this Needlepoint Kit

One of the standout colours in Sampler #3 is Colour #70, a beautiful pastel blend that features coral pink, pale yellow, and mint green—perfect for anyone who loves working with soft, serene shades. This would be a beautiful palette that could easily be broadened by incorporating additional coordinating hues to make your projects even more dynamic. Pastel needlepoint is timeless, but adding just a few deeper tones really makes a difference, allowing more contrast and depth in your designs.

What other colours are included in this kit?

The thread kit used the create our spring version of Circus is a hand-dyed range of colors that can be mixed and matched to suit any needlepoint project. Whether you’re working on a larger piece or something a little more intricate, this kit will offer plenty of thread and material to play with. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll find in this kit:

  • 1 skein of size 5 pearl cotton, colour #70
  • 1 skein of size 5 pearl cotton, colour #71
  • 1 skein of size 8 pearl cotton, green blend
  • 1 skein of 6 strand cotton floss, colour #72
  • 1 skein of rayon metallic, colour #71
  • 1 skein of silk perle, colour mint green

If you’ve already purchased Circus, this thread kit provides an alternate colour combination.
