Our second design this month showcases one of the “Holed Up Mini” projects from the American Needlepoint Guild website. These were small complimentary designs from various designers to help keep many of us stitching during COVID. I love these little designs and there are a few to choose from so you might like to check them out.
One variation of the “Holed Up Mini” pattern series
The above sample is Portland Revisited designed by Sue Reed. This pattern was originally designed by Sue as a mini class but was updated with newer threads and some different stitches. You can find the Portland Revisited pattern HERE.
I have featured the design previously on the Colour Complements blog in a different palette but today we’d like to continue with our traditional green and red seasonal palette.
Measuring 2 ½ inches on 18-count canvas, this piece showcases how small designs can still create that unique “pop”. We framed it in a muted dark blue to create some contrast, but you could easily use any colour from the kit to personalize the overall design.
These “Holed Up Minis” are perfect for quick projects and make wonderful gifts or additions to your holiday decor.
Remember, you can find these colours in the shop.
