Colour #186 is a beautiful teal colour combination of turquoise, and shades of purple and navy blue. You may have seen this colour featured in past blog posts that we published this month. Earlier in the month, we shared two samples of Flyways designed by Michael Boren featured in the November/December 2021 issue of Needle Pointers. We chose elements of the larger design, which measures 9 inches square, to create our small sample measuring 2 ½ inches on 18 count mono canvas.

All three of our Flyways stitched samples this month have featured different palettes combined with colour 186. As always, we like to give you ideas on different colours that may work to create your own palette.

I like the aqua in this sample. It is a different value than the teal used in Colour #186, but I think it blends very well to create a stunning palette. Remember, this palette could easily be expanded with the addition of solids in various values of teals, blues and purples.
