The above sample is a segment of Stitchplay Designs, Fiesta Blue. Since it does not have any blue other than the beads, I think we could refer to it more as a fiesta of colours for this version!
This is an intermediate level counted canvas design offering a variety of stitches in the full design. Dominique opted to stitch a variation of the central section of the original pattern. The full design is much larger. This sample measures 4 inches on 18 count canvas.
She has used three colours from my new fall collection – colours 66, 67 and 69. AND, Dominique likes “bling” so she has added beads, sequins and Kreinik braid.
Once again, just goes to show how you can take a small section of a design and play with it!
I think we will be making this into a small ornament for Christmas gift giving.
