Today, my stitch sample is Colour #183. A stunning pattern of purple, perfect for any needlework project. I featured this colour last week in our cross stitch sample!
Colour #183 is a blend of various values of rich purples. I find I tend to use this colour a lot in my stitching for the simple reason I like purple. Having said, this I do find this particular blend of purples work well with many of my colour combinations. If you enter #183 in the search bar on my website (very top right side) a list of the product along with various samples will pop up.
I think you will agree it is a versatile colour!
A Closer Look At This Purple Stitch Sampler – Colour #183
This sample is stitched on 18-count mono canvas in the video in a size 5 Perle cotton.
The stitch is a wicker stitch. I use the Stitches books by Ruth Schmuff and Kathy Holicky for my samples. The omega stitch can be found in Volume 1 on page 155.
Just a note that there are four volumes of these books which would be a great addition to your library.
I stitch these samples for my personal stitch library but I hope they will allow you to “see” how the colours blend and the appearance of the colour variations when stitched.
Yes, I am continuing to stitch video samples for each colour I sell but it is taking a long time. I thank you in advance for your patience and understanding!
I hope you enjoy the video.
