This beautiful blue cotton floss is the perfect choice to stitch a summer project! With hotter weather just on the horizon, I found it fitting to feature this product on today’s blog post!
I personally love using blue in my needlework projects. There is so much variety in shades that you can make your project bold or subtle just by using this colour alone. But because we’re celebrating the arrival of summer, it was only fitting that we went with a vibrant blend for this particular project.
Achieving A Baroque Cross-Stitch with Blue Cotton Floss
Colour #33 is a popular colour and a beautiful blend of variations of blue and turquoise. It looks gorgeous when combined with Colours #32 and #30. You can see an example of this in my Ariadne project.
The cross-stitch sample above measures approximately 3 ½ inches stitched on 36-count white linen. Just under 3 meters of one strand floss was used, so it doesn’t take much to complete a small sample. This is one element of the pattern Baroque by Ink Circles, which has also been featured in some of our other blog posts.
Thank you to Dominique for stitching this stunning pattern! Another beauty!
