Another stitch sample video today featuring Colour #188

Interestingly the stitch sample featured today (Colour #188) is a fall blend I introduced five years ago. I loved the colour when I dyed it and ended up using it for stitching one of my first counted canvas projects called Starry Nights by Laura Perin Designs.

It is a blend of red, yellow, blue and green. I have found it works very well with a wide variety of different colour palettes, and not just autumn themed! My customers also tend to agree as it remains a very popular combination.

Here is more information about the Stitch Sample – Colour #188

This stitch sample is created on 18-count mono canvas in the video in a size 5 Perle cotton. The stitch is a medallion stitch. You will find this stitch in Volume 1 of the Stitches books on page 216. There are five volumes of the Stitches books by Ruth Schmuff and Kathy Holicky which are great books to use as a reference whether you’re an experienced or first-time stitcher!

I stitch these samples for my personal stitch library but I hope they will allow you to “see” how the colours blend and the appearance of the colour variations when stitched.

Yes, I am continuing to stitch video samples for each colour I sell, but it is taking quite a while!

I hope you enjoy the video.
