Today, I am featuring a video of my Rainbow Blend, Colour #44 for this stitch sample.

Colour #44 is one of my most popular colours!  It was introduced a number of years ago and was featured in the Rainbow Ribbons project last year published in Needlepoint Now.  Interestingly, I actually had named this my rainbow blend prior to Kam stitching the Rainbow Ribbons project!

It is a gorgeous blend of brilliant blue, fuchsia, light golden brown with hints of green.

In the video, I am stitching on 18 count mono canvas using a size 5 perle cotton.  The stitch is called a reversed scotch.

I suspect you will find this online but I like to use the Stitches books by Ruth Schmuff and Kathy Holicky.  There are four volumes of these books which are a great reference.  I highly recommend them.

While I stitch these samples for my personal stitch library, I hope they will allow you to “see” how the colours blend and what they look like when stitched.  I continue to work on my goal to have a stitch sample video for each colour I dye.  It is a long process!

I hope you enjoy the video.  I’ve started doing time-lapse.
