DO YOU HAVE AN EYE FOR COLOUR?
My Eye for Colour series was designed to give customers a similar experience to selecting a colour palette of threads in a shop.
I thought it timely to share a summer colour since summer has finally arrived to the west coast. So, Colour #30 is a bright blend of golden yellow, variations of pinks and light yellow. While my palette focuses on summer this colour combination could look quite lovely in a fall palette.
Here are my ideas for a palette
I have selected two other Colour Complements Colours, Colour #32 which is a blend of turquoise, blue and pale orange with a hint of green and Colour #33 which is a blend of turquoise and turquoise/blues.
I have added two colours of Kreinik Braid, #2 & #4 and Colour #11 in floche. All of these colours are available in the shop.
For solid colours I chose two values of orange, olour #947 and 971 and a pale coral/pink colour #353.
I have added several shades of aqua – colours 943, 993 and 959 and a bold blue colour #995. The blue draws on the blue in Colour #32 and 33.
I then added an array of Rainbow Gallery products

Solid colours of perle cotton and Rainbow Gallery products are available at your local needlework shop or various online shops.
