Today’s Eye For Colour will surely get you in the holiday mood – think festive Christmas reds! If you’re new to my Eye For Colour series (welcome!), you’re in for a treat. My goal with this series is to provide customers with a similar experience to selecting a colour palette and thread choices as you would do in a shop.
Let’s Get Festive With the Christmas Reds of Colour #187
As you may have guessed with the title of this blog, this month, I am featuring Colour #187 which is a gorgeous blend of REDS! Bold, beautiful Christmas-inspired reds!
Since it is November, I thought it would be a good idea to share red since it is ideal for some seasonal stitching.
I have opted for an all-red palette today BUT you could combine greens such as Colour #18 or Colour #184 to create some balance with colour, creating a beautiful palette.
I kept the palette simple showing Colour #187 in both size 5 perle cotton and 6 strand cotton floss. I also added Colour #7 in my floche which also possesses different shades of reds. I have added several DMC solids including 321, 350, 351, 666 and 3801.
AND we need some texture and bling! In this particular project, I added a few Rainbow Gallery products including:
- Neon Rays 22, 119
- Entice 221, 239
It’s a great time to pick up some REDS and start stitching. I hope this month’s Eye for Colour gives you inspiration for some seasonal stitching!
