Today is another hospice heart for the Hearts of Hospice series I am featuring on the blog.

Check out my previous Hearts for Hospice post to read all about it.

If you recall, this project was initiated in 2015 by the Greater Kansas City Needlepoint Guild to fulfill a need at a local hospice center.

I shared a pattern Sue Dulle had designed and donated using Colour Complements threads in my previous post.  Today, I am delighted to share the second pattern.  Any threads or colours you wish could be used.  Raid your stash!

Sue used Colour Complements Colour #188 for this sample along with some Yellow Ric Rac.  I think the ric rac looks great – what do you think?

If you would like to stitch this heart, I have included the PDF pattern below (click on the link and print).  Simply draw your heart on some canvas and START STITCHING.

I would like to encourage you to stitch a heart for this worthy project.  Remember, you are not restricted to stitching only this pattern.  Create your own pattern – experiment! You can always check out Pinterest for more inspiration including stitch diagrams.

Once your heart is complete you may send it to the Greater Kansas City Needlepoint Guild who will provide finishing and donate locally.  Otherwise you may donate the hearts to the hospice of your choice.

Thank you Sue for contacting me regarding this wonderful project AND for donating the designs.

I look forward to seeing many heart photos in my “inbox”.  Gives a new meaning to “you’ve got mail”!

Heartfelt wishes….

Colour Complements is participating in NeedlenThread Stitchers Christmas giveaways – might want to check it out.
