Overall, I am very pleased with the results of this block. I love that I was able to use some of my collection of antique buttons along with a one off earring and charm in my button cluster. The crocheted doily works very well to cover a difficult area of various seam intersections. I had dyed this particularly doily many years ago and the colours work great in this section. I have attempted to combine some black and white in each of the blocks, either with the use of brads or in this situation ribbon. I have had this ribbon in my stash for ages so delighted I found a place to use it.
