Another section of Block #9 in my new CRAZY QUILTING project – Black Butterflies.
Let us start with the left side of the block. I added a hand dyed lace applique stitched in place using Kreinik size 8 braid. The seam treatment on the right started with a base of a stem stitched half circle in a silk perle. I added detached chains and straight stitches on the top using a fine metallic machine thread. On the bottom I added a collection of French knots in the shape of grape clusters accented with very tiny sequin leaves. I copper circles are brads. On the right is a tiny bit of my spider web so thought you may like to all of it. I added a tiny lady bug bead too.
