FALL WALK. Each season when I introduce a new collection I always like to stitch up a needlepoint example showcasing the new colour combinations. Not long ago I contacted Sue Dulle, a very talented designer to create an original design for Colour Complements. You may recognize Sue’s name as she has designed several “freebies” offered on the Rainbow Gallery site. Sue designed “Fall Walk” stitching it with Colour #48, Colour #49 and two colours of Kreinik size 8 braid. Once she completed the design I opted to stitch it in a second colour palette to showcase Colour #47 which is a lovely blend of blues and olive greens.
Fall Walk is stitched on 18 count canvas and I have created thread kits which include the pattern in both colour combinations.

Burgundy, golden brown and olive greens
Colour #48 – size 5 perle cotton
Colour #49 – size 5 perle cotton
Kreinik Size 8 braid – yellows
Kreinik Size 8 braid – reds
Kit #2
Blues, olive greens, turquoise/blues
Colour #47 – size 5 perle cotton
Colour #162 – size 5 perle cotton
Colour #49 – size 5 perle cotton
Kreinik Size 8 braid – green/blues
With Kit #2 I opted to add Entice by Rainbow Gallery in Colour #E289. This is optional and not included in my kit. You may purchase this from your local needlework shop. OR, you could substitute the Kreinik size 8 braid in greens/blues included in the kit.
