Small Batch Hand-Dyed Embroidery Floss: The 2026 New Year Collection

I am starting the new year by introducing a curated selection of new limited-edition colours. It has been some time since I debuted any new palettes, so I have spent the last month immersed in my dye studio, experimenting with pigments to create a variety of sophisticated colour combinations.

Note on Quality: Because these artisan needlepoint thread collections are randomly dyed in small batches, each run is truly one-of-a-kind. To ensure perfect colour consistency across your project, please ensure you purchase what you need today, as these specific batches cannot be replicated once they are sold out.

The 2026 “Boutique” Collection of my Small Batch Hand-Dyed Embroidery Floss

This month, I am introducing three distinctive new colours designed to take the guesswork out of your next project.

Colour #101: Forest Floor

This is a rich, darker blend featuring variations of earthy greens and bark browns.

  • The Inspiration: Have you ever looked at a landscape and realized that “green” isn’t just one colour, but a hundred shifting shadows?
  • Ideal Use: This is an ideal choice for shaded grass areas, branches, and autumn leaves. It is well-suited to any fall-themed project where you want to add natural dimension without complex stitching.

Colour #102: Heirloom Bloom

A romantic, medium-to-light value blend of red-violet and soft pinks.

  • The Inspiration: This palette evokes the soft petals of a spring garden or vintage Valentine.
  • The Designer’s Tip: This makes a lovely addition to spring/summer canvases. To create a “painterly” gradient, this combines beautifully with Colours #69 and #83 in my regular collection.

Colour #103: A Pastel Prism

A whimsical, pastel rainbow blend featuring a soft spectrum of variegated hues.

  • The Inspiration: A “no-fuss” solution for those who want a joyful, vibrant look that remains sophisticated and timeless.
  • Ideal Use: Gorgeous for a spring-themed project. It also pairs exceptionally well with Colour #102 for a cohesive, designer-level look.

The Beauty of Experimenting with New Colours

There will be more colours coming soon. My studio is a space of creative refinement and I have spent the last month experimenting with new ratios and fibres. While I enjoy the process of discovery, I hold my work to a high standard where only the most harmonious and successful colourways make it from my dye vat to your needle.

As a boutique craft supplier in Canada, I am committed to providing you with the unique materials you need to start your stitching journey with confidence. We will see what other beautiful combinations emerge from the studio next month!
