I think this is the first time I’ve shared a cross stitched dragonfly. I often add dragonflies to my crazy quilting, usually with beads and stitching so it is fun to see one cross stitched.
In my previous posts I talked about how all of the cross stitch samples featuring my spring collection colours are stitched with elements of the Long Dog Samplers. This dragonfly can be found in Paradigm Lost. A red brown 32 count linen was used along with 2 strands of floss in colour #73 (turquoise/aqua).
Dominique has added a fine metallic to accent along with black, both of which really add to the overall appearance.
Once again while I may not have chosen this dark background of linen I think it looks really lovely. Hope you do too.
