DO YOU HAVE AN EYE FOR COLOUR?  Featuring Colour #50!

Make sure you watch the video above

Through the years I have received many questions about what colours might work well with others.  As a result, my Eye for Colour series was born.  My hope is that I can provide customers with a similar experience to selecting a colour palette and threads in a shop.

I introduced the series last month with a slideshow.  Today, I am excited to share my first video.

Let’s get started.

COLOUR COMPLEMENTS COLOUR #50.

Colour #50 was introduced as part of my spring collection in 2019.  It is a blend of lavender, pale yellow/cream and a blue/green.  It is one of my favourite combinations for a spring or summer palette.  Having said this, I’ve actually used it in a fall design as well!  This will give you a better idea of the palette.

HERE ARE SOME IDEAS

I have selected two other Colour Complements Colours, Colour #51 which is light to medium variations of a lavender/red violet AND Colour #61 which is a light yellow/cream/tan blend.

I have added silk perle in Colours #1 and #7, Kreinik braid #6 (purples) and two colours of floche, #1 and #2. You will find all of these colours in the SHOP.

For solid colours you have several choices depending on your colour preferences.  I opted for some blue colours, DMC #597, 598 and 747.  These blues are more aqua versus true blues and draw on the blue/green colour in the blend.  I could easily see selecting yellows or lavender/purples so lots of different choices.

I then added an array of Rainbow Gallery products

  • Glisten 25, 33
  • Neon Rays 7, 114
  • Sparkle Rays 53, 80
  • Entice 229, 248

What do you think of this palette?  Do you like it? Or not?

Next month I will be featuring a new colour so stay tuned.
