I am delighted to share a very special CRAZY QUILTING project designed and stitched by one of my customers, Grovenore. The project measures 18×24” and was created either as a wall hanging or for framing. It is a wedding gift for Grovenore’s son and his new wife.
She used a variety of different threads she has purchased from me over the last number of years. She writes,
“After much deliberation I decided that since this was a beach wedding I wanted to incorporate the ocean, sand, jungle and sky. The jungle is the most heavily stitched. The wedding colours were turquoise and coral and actual pieces of the fabric used to drape the beach gazebo were used. The flowers, leaves and vines are stitched over a couple of pieced fan shapes on either side of the photo.”
This is a beautiful crazy quilting project and goes to show you can create all sorts of different projects with crazy quilting. Thank you for sharing Grovenore and congratulations to the new couple.
