wool applique, hand dyed perle cottonI’m sharing more of Uschi’s lovely Sue Spargo leaf sampler today.  I know these posts have inspired many of you as I’ve been receiving more examples of wool applique using my threads that I will be sharing at a later date.  Uschi is co-owner of Wool Penny Rugs and they sell lovely hand dyed wool.  Once again, she has used quite a few of my threads.

I just love this selection – lots of variety.  Don’t you love her bee 🙂  She has also used a couple of washers in these examples.  I love the combination of pistil stitches with the washer which has been covered using a buttonhole stitch – so creative!  Did you notice the beads in the lower right sample.

Thank you Uschi for inspiring me and many of my customers too!!  Remember, wool applique is a fabulous surface to experiment with all kinds of fibers.
