I’m highlighting a stitched design that can be created using a berry-coloured palette.
Have I mentioned in previous blog posts, that I LOVE the blend of berry, navy and fuchsia in Colour #83. It has all of the different colours that are reminiscent of the different summertime berries and is combined with a deep navy to add a little bit of depth to the colour.
we talked about combining Colour #83 as one of three colours for a palette and today I’m highlighting a stitched sample that showcases this palette.
What other colours can be blended together with this berry-coloured palette
While Colour #83 could easily be combined with colours to create a rich fruity-type palette, we have opted for a more tropical theme.
In this case, we have chosen Colour #46 and Colour #82 to complement the deep hues of #83.
Colour #46 is a turquoise/lemon lime combination and colour #82 is a monochromatic blend of various values of aqua.
The sample is stitched on an 18-count mono canvas measuring 3 ¼ inches. It is a beautiful design offered complimentary through Rainbow Gallery designed by Laura Perin Designs called Spring Fling.
We chose size 5 perle cotton and floss (colour #46) to stitch the sample.
While we did not choose to add any metallic to the sample, I could easily see opting for some Kreinik Braid or Sparkle Rays.
