new-rayon-ric-rac

I’ve been busy in the dye studio over the last six weeks SO what’s new in the shop?

Rayon ric rac.  I’ve repeated some colour combinations and others are NEW.  Please note that I do re-use colour numbers so if you purchased a #14 for instance last year is a different colour combination this year!  If you haven’t yet tried my ric rac, it is fantastic for Sue Spargo wool applique projects!

What else is new in the shop?

Well, a number of NEW samplers are now in stock.  A total of six and ALL are new colour combinations.

hand-dyed embroidery-samplers

I’ve mentioned before that samplers are randomly dyed.  They are popular and tend to sell out quite fast which means colours change frequently.

All the current samplers consist of six threads including size 5 and 8 perle cotton, flat ribbon, silk perle, rayon and rayon metallic.

Just a note that silk perle is my “favourite” product to use in my stitching so a must in the sampler.  Flat ribbon is a viscose knitted product which is not widely seen in the needlework market.  It can be used in place of any “flat” ribbon such as Neon Rays for example.  I will mention that it is thicker than other flat ribbons so not the best option for layered stitches such as a Rhodes stitch unless you are using a larger mesh canvas such as a 13 count.  It is worth trying!  Also included is a rayon (gorgeous sheen) and a rayon metallic – both add a bit of pizzazz!

**For those of you who downloaded the January Mini Sampler, please note there is an error in the count. It should read 58 x 58 threads versus 60 x 60. Thanks for pointing this out Suzanne!!
