It’s another Hearts for Hospice today.
Check out my previous blog post to read all about it.
If you recall, this project was initiated in 2015 by the Greater Kansas City Needlepoint Guild to fulfill a need at a local hospice center.
My local guild has been stitching various hearts over the past number of months.
In January I shared this same pattern from the January/February 2019 issue of Needlepoint Now. While Dominique stitched this heart using the same threads as the first, her placement of threads is slightly different. Always fun to see variations.
She has used the following colours
She also added a solid colour perle cotton in a darker value of purple/blue.
I would like to encourage you to stitch a heart for this worthy project. Remember, you are not restricted to either this pattern or colours. Create your own pattern and experiment with colour!
Once your heart is complete you may send it to the Greater Kansas City Needlepoint Guild who will provide finishing and donate locally. Otherwise you may donate the hearts to the hospice of your choice.
Thank you Dominique
There are various mixed samplers in the shop. These would be great to stitch up some hearts!
