Butterfly Sampler – the grand finale…

I started posting about the Butterfly Sampler about a year ago.  There are a total of 15 butterflies.  By now, you KNOW I love butterflies.  The pattern is designed by Sue Spargo.

Check out categories in the right sidebar and scroll down to wool applique.  You can find all the posts pertaining to this project.

In review, the sampler is small measuring 16 x 22 inches with a soft muted green wool background.

Kathleen used a variety of Colour Complements threads with the addition of others from her stash.

I think it turned out beautifully.

What do you think?

The colour scheme reminds me of Easter colours.

I hope Kathleen and I have inspired you to create your own sampler.  If you are not familiar with any stitches you may have seen, you can find video tutorials on Mary Corbet’s NeedleNThread.

There are a wide variety of threads to choose in the SHOP.

Thank you so very much Kathleen for sharing this project with my readers.

P.S. – Wait until you see what is coming next year!
