The finale of Block #10 in my new CRAZY QUILTING project – Black Butterflies.  If you are interested in following this project, you can find all the posts under “Black Butterflies” in the right sidebar under Categories.

I am pleased with the final results of this block.  Note the paisley motif in the lower left.  This was created by tracing the pattern from Sharon Boggon’s templates and outlined using chain stitch.  The perle cotton is very muted in one area hence it photographs as somewhat blurred.  The lower left is a herringbone embellished with French knots.  I like the floral spray in the bottom right against the backdrop of orange.

The button cluster was strategically place to cover an area where several seams meet.  This area would otherwise have been difficult to stitch.

I am not all that fond of using nylon lace but I think this turned out well.  LOVE using brads in my crazy quilting, so easy.

So, that is Block #10 complete.  Block #11 coming soon.
