My stitch sample today is Colour #3

Colour #3 reminds me of the colours of summer. It is a blend of greens, coral/pinks and orange. This will give you an idea of the colour combination

In the video, I am stitching on 18 count mono canvas using a size 5 perle cotton.  The stitch is called a Double Hungarian Ground.  I suspect you will find this online but I like to use Stitches by Ruth Schmuff and Kathy Holicky.  There are four volumes of these books which are a great reference.  I highly recommend them.

While I stitch these samples for my personal stitch library, I hope they will allow customers to “see” how the colours blend and what they look like when stitched.  My goal is to have a stitch sample video for each colour I dye – EVENTUALLY!

I hope you enjoy the video. **I apologize that the colour in the video appears a bit washed out. I’ll need to adjust my lighting. It is far brighter “in person”.
