SUE SPARGO CHICKS, wool appliqueAnother selection of Uschi’s version of SUE SPARGO CHICKS quilt!  There is a lot to see with these three.

Uschi has added a great charm “Faith” on the left chick’s wing.  It is bordered by cast-on using perle cotton.  The body is accented with French knots and the neck is rosette chain.  The drizzle stitches have been couched to lay flat.

Uschi refers to the middle chick as her “hippie chick” which I think is hilarious!  She has used palestrina stitches in perle cottons and rayons.  Note the “flower children influence with flower shaped sequins.

The bird on the right is the groom (yes there is a bride coming too)!  He is wearing a top hat for the wedding and bow tie.  The wing is embellished  with small flowers created using detached chain stitches and French knots, bordered with double chain stitch.  The body has very tiny woven wheels using rayon and the border is rosette chain in perle cotton.

So, what do you think?  Thanks for sharing this Uschi 🙂
