hand dyed perle cottonI thought I would share some gorgeous wool applique today from Charmian in Australia!  Charmian had mentioned she would be attending a Wendy Williams workshop.  Wendy teaches wool applique and has written the book “Wild Blooms Colorful Creatures” which I just happen to own.  In fact, several of my local “woollies” are currently stitching projects from this book in our group.  I was concerned when I sent her the size 12 perle cotton that she would be disappointed and find that it didn’t show up well on the wool.  We ended up corresponding a bit and I recognized that she was using wool felt versus wool which I use in my wool applique.  All of the circles above were stitched  with size 12 perle cotton on wool felt – are they not stunning!   I’m thrilled with these.  Then if this was not enough, and I do have more to share in future posts 🙂 she included this
