crazy quilting, hand dyed threadsCrazy quilting today!  In this section of my medium dusty crazy quilt I’ve stitched the herringbone stitch with several strands of cotton floss.  The French knots are stitched with a hand dyed silk.  The bottom seam treatment uses the same hand dyed silk for the pistil stitches.  The half circles are created with a size 8 perle cotton and the accent stitches are another silk.  This was further embellished with heart shaped pearl beads.  The top seam treatment is hand dyed silk ribbon ruched and tacked in placed using invisible machine thread.  I then used seed beads to loop over areas.  As always, if it interests you to see all the posts for this crazy quilting project please look in the sidebar under medium dusty crazy quilt.
