Thought I would finish off this week with a bit of colour! This is the second square in my Rainforest Crunch project – only 34 more to go! If you missed the first post you can read about it here and here. When I started my squares I dyed my palette with “autumn” in mind although I must admit I get a bit carried away when I dye and end up adding all kinds of colours with the results not always what I might have intended. I’ve been experimenting with reds for some time trying to achieve the “perfect” tomato red. Well, this one is close. It is a combination of tomato red and burgundy. The green is a gorgeous combination of different values of olive green and a brighter green. I did end up dyeing this in both a #5 perle and a #8 perle although the sample above is stitched with a #5 perle. Both these threads are available in the shop.
Enjoy your weekend and more stitching to share next week.
