colour complements

Welcome to my new website !

I have pondered the move from Blogger to WordPress for the last year and decided late in 2013 that the time had come.  WordPress provides me with more flexibility in customization and future growth options.  With my new look comes a new name – Colour Complements!  I agonized over changing the name for some time but felt this is a better reflection of my current creative interests combined with my thread dyeing.  I will be retaining my Etsy shop formerly LES Designs now Colour Complements.

So a brief tour is in order!  When you arrive on my site you will land on my home page and can proceed to any of the pages listed.  The first page is my “About” which is a brief bio followed by a “Shop” page.  My Shop page is direct access to my Etsy Shop.  This is followed by my “Featured” page which shows my publications.  Next up is my “Contact” page where you may email me directly (always welcomed) and last to my “Blog” where you are currently!

My blog has a variety of features.  When you have your mouse on the photos you will now see a hover pin it button in the right upper corner which makes it very easy to “pin” my photos.  In the sidebar there is a search menu as well as several drop down menus (tags, archives, categories).  My categories are further divided into subcategories which should make it very easy for you to find posts relating to specific interests.  I am in the process of updating older posts so given time they will all be there! Recent posts and recent pins are also here.  Last but not least are social media buttons which make it easy to connect with me – these are duplicated at the bottom of each of my site pages.

For my followers, regular RSS subscribers will get posts from my new site.  Regretfully any Google Friend Connect followers could not be moved therefore please sign up to follow me again here.  At the end of each post there is a box to sign up to receive blog updates via email.  Just open the post title and scroll to the bottom of the post.

My thanks to my site designer, Sara at Moonsteam Design.  You gave me everything I asked for and more!

I hope you find the site easy to navigate.  So for now, enjoy your visit!
