A NEEDLEPOINT STITCH SAMPLE today showcasing Colour #182 from my Chorus of Colours on Wednesday. My photographs do not capture quite how BOLD this is! It is a beauty…..
The pattern is “Stained Glass Square” designed by Laura Perin offered as a freebie by Rainbow Gallery. You can find it HERE. It measures about 4″ square on 18 count canvas. If you wish to reproduce this, you will need one skein of each of the following
I mentioned on Wednesday how this combination could be switched up if you wished to focus more on the greens by using a green Trio versus the scarlet one used in the sample. Perhaps try the Forest Green Trio. Instead of using Kreinik braid, you could use some Kreinik 1/16″ ribbon, how about adding Colour #5 which is a golden yellow. OR, how about #3 in greens. You can find all the Kreinik Ribbons HERE. I love the appearance when using the ribbon – beautiful!
As you all know, I love to play with colour! I would like to thank Susan for this sample. Susan is one of the members of the Victoria Embroiderers’ Guild satellite canvas group. Thank you Susan.
That’s it for this week – stay tuned for more next week. To all my customers from Florida, please stay safe.
