It is time for another CHORUS OF COLOURS today.
It has been some time since I posted in this series. Just a reminder that my CHORUS OF COLOURS series will focus on a selection of coordinating colours that work well in canvas projects but please recognize that you could use these palettes for any needlework project of your choice. **These are my personal suggestions only and naturally there are always many different combinations that would look equally beautiful.
I am sure you are aware by now that I do love to experiment with different colour combinations. When I was sorting through some threads in my office recently it just happened that two colours were next to one another and I immediately thought how nice they would looked stitched. Coincidentally, I would not likely have paired up this combo had it not been sitting on my desk.
I started with COLOUR #17, a blend of browns, rusts, bronze/green with hints of turquoise green/blue – just a wee hint! COLOUR #25 is a very subtle blend of mint green and teal with a “bluish” appearance – lovely. These work well together as colour #25 draws on the tiny hints of turquoise green/blue in colour #17. I added a bit of sparkle with Kreinik 1/16″ Ribbon, Colour #15. I find it difficult not to add a bit of sparkle to any/all of my projects!
I am introducing this palette today and will show you how it looks stitched in a design on Friday. Just wait until you see the results.
