I love to show examples of EMBROIDERY here on my blog and today I am delighted to share some from one of my customers, Adrienne. Adrienne is fairly new to embroidery having just started her first sampler prior to Christmas of last year.
The photo above shows some of Adrienne’s stitching on a panel of fabric from Alison Glass’s Ex Libris collection. She has used several of my pearl cottons in the example and fortunately has provided some close-ups too.
These photos show details of a texture study in progress. A small 4” Dropcloth embroidery sampler from the Colorburst collection. Adrienne is experimenting with various techniques including button method working outward, cast on stitch, woven wheel, French knots, satin stitch and turkey work. Chain stitch, feather stitch varieties, couching, raised stem and knotted banks. She finds it slow stitching but very satisfying. I think you should be thrilled with the results Adrienne as it looks beautiful!
I am ALWAYS thrilled to receive photos from customers to see how they have used my threads. A sampler is an excellent way to experiment with a variety of stitch techniques as you can see here. Thanks so much for sharing AND for using my threads.
