I started with a wavy seam treatment using a size 5 perle cotton as I wanted it to stand out a bit more. This is a backstitch. The centers are small metal flowers I picked up in my shopping travels (love shopping for crazy quilting supplies!!) which have bead centers.
The lower left shows a floral section with feather stitch stems and detached chain leaves using green floss. The “flowers” are bullions (not particularly well done -:) ) using rayon thread.
The upper right seam treatment is a combination of back stitch half circles, straight stitches and embellished with seed beads. I have used a size 8 perle cotton, colour #182 – this is a lovely spring/summer blend.
In the very upper right are quarter wheels using Kreinik #8 braid.
This is the second to last post of this project. I hope it has inspired you to perhaps attempt a bit of crazy quilting yourself. Have a great weekend and back next week.
